5 Reasons Why My Pilates Challenges Could Benefit You

Today is the start of my free mid-Year Pilates Challenge and the theme is "Overcoming Your Obstacles."  Modern life can be very challenging so why would you want to voluntarily participate in a Challenge?  I offer 3 Pilates Challenges each year because they are so successful for assisting you to take back control of your life so you are no longer being limited in life by pain or injury.  Just like these children in the photo above it encourages you to be curious and discover what is possible by stepping out of your comfort zone which really can be life-changing.  Let's look at how my Pilates Challenges can help you achieve your health and fitness goals so you can enjoy the freedom from pain you deserve so you can live an active and rewarding life right through your retirement years.

 

A Challenge is Ideal if You Have Had or are Currently Dealing with Pain or Injury


My specialised Pilates program is a library of on demand videos divided into 6 courses.  As a Pilates Practitioner with over 17 years experience in rehabilitation, I've specifically designed these videos to help you successfully recover from pain or injury.  When you have used my unique Pilates program to become pain-free, there are also more advanced courses that provide the tools you need to manage your condition and help prevent further injury.  Challenges are ideal as they help to fast track your results with small amounts of Pilates for 10 consecutive days. It's perfect for kick-starting your Pilates journey or re-establishing your previous Pilates practice. Some of the conditions past and current participants are successfully managing are osteoporosis, lower back pain, MS, fibromyalgia, knee pain, shoulder bursitis and many more.

 

You Can Tailor it to Your Own Individual Needs 


Another benefit of my Challenges is that it's non competitive and the only person you are trying to be better than is yourself.  You can choose your preferred session length each day for your Pilates practice. Some participants do 1 video per day which is approximately 10 minutes. Others allocate 15, 20 or 30 minutes per day. It's all about finding what works best for you personally.  If you are in pain you might start with 10 minutes and gradually increase your session length as your pain eases and you establsh and strengthen your abdominal connections.  You can choose what time of day you schedule your session so really are making it work for you!

 

Experience Results Quickly & Create Momentum

 

By participating in my 10 day Challenge you will experience results more quickly than you would if you were attending sessions once or twice weekly. Daily Pilates reinforces the positive changes you are making to your posture and the way you move. It also helps to strengthen the new pathways from your brain to your abdominals and glute muscles with daily repetition.  Something wonderful happens at the end of the Challenge too. You will feel amazing and many participants use the momentum they've created to continue with their daily Pilates practise after the Challenge.  Why would they stop? When you are moving with ease and feeling energised and confident, why would you want to go back to how you felt before the Challenge?

 

Be Part of a Like-Minded Community

 

Challenge Participants have the option of joining a private members only Facebook group for the duration of each Challenge. Online courses can lack a sense of community but a private group is the ideal opportunity for like-minded people to come together, share the Challenge experience and supoort each other.  You can be there for each others highs and lows of the Chllaenge and know that you aren't alone as you work towards acheiving your goals. creating a strong Pilates community.  It's also a place to ask questions which may also be the same questions someone else has. I'm always there to cheer you on along the way, offer exercise suggestions and provide encouragement and motivation

It's actually quite incredible just how much impact 10 days of Pilates can have on the quality of your life.  I absolutlely love hearing the participants feedback and observations they have made about themselves during the Challenge.  I've never had any participant ever regret doing a Challenge!
