This topic proved to be by far the the most popular blog post that generated the most discussion of 2021.  Whether you are in perimenopause, currently experiencing menopause or it's a distant memory for you there is practical advice for not only women but for the men in your life too.  Menopause has been described as a second puberty and this often challenging time in a women's life is still largely ignored leaving many women unsure of what is happening to their minds and bodies and where to turn for help.  Many women also don't realise that their exercise needs change at this time.  By incorporating certain elements into their program they can future-proof themselves against several health conditions and ensure this time of their lives is a calm and empowering experience.  Pilates is ideal for providing the necessary tools to achieve this.  Due to hormonal shifts, bone density needs to be actively increased to reduce the risk of osteoporosis.  Anxiety and mood swings are common at this time.
